One of my favorite tips Mother gave me more than 20 years ago that I continue to use today is using vinegar to get rid and help prevent mold and mildew.

Vinegar in Laundry

This one is a simple one: Use a cup of white vinegar and pour it in with your dirty clothes in the washer to help prevent mildew or kill it in your load of laundry.

Load your laundry like usual, pour in a cup of white vinegar, add your detergent and fabric softener and voila, you are good to go.
